On Friday, May 28th 2021, 5 female coaches from our island traveled to Aruba to participate in the KNVB-UEFA Assist Course Dutch Caribbean 2021. This course was scheduled to take place this past April but was postponed to the week of May 29th to June 6th due to COVID-19. The trainers Tihitsa Coffie, Sterre Noordhoek, Sephanyah Pedro, and Shurylianne Leito were the first to board the plane to our sister island this past Friday while the fifth and final trainer Riesmarly Tokaay will be joining them today in Aruba.
KNVB and UEFA have joined forces to offer female coaches from Aruba, Bonaire, and Curaçao the opportunity to follow a course to obtain a D-license in coaching. This course is specifically designed to develop the technical skills of female trainers to coach girls aged 13 and under. After completing this course, the trainers will be able to follow a course to obtain their C-license diploma. This means that soon women’s football in Curaçao will be enriched with more female trainers to continue developing the football skills of our young girls here on the island.
FFK is proud to support our coaches and will continue to assist in the development of coaching pathways for girls and women on the island.
